Dokpa Garment is an apparel maker in Budanilkantha, Kathmandu, Nepal, working in outdoor and cold weather clothing. What this archive holds is a set of thirteen supplied photographs. Each one is printed here whole, edges left on, with a caption written after looking at that frame and nothing written that the frame does not carry.

01 Wooden table

Opened on the table

A dark grey padded jacket lies open on a light wooden table, hood spread flat at the top and the front zip pulled apart. Along the far edge of the same table sit a pocket calculator, a brown paper envelope, a metal flask, a plastic water bottle and a black motorcycle helmet. Office chairs stand at the left, a clear polythene bag at the right, and the photographer's own feet are in the bottom of the frame.

06 Wooden table

The label, close

The closest reading of the label anywhere in this set. On a bright blue ground: an emblem drawn in white outline, the word DOKPA in white capitals with a registered mark, and beneath it, smaller, MADE IN NEPAL. A small white tag printed with a single M sits under the label's lower edge. The lining behind is dark and quilted in horizontal channels.

What was checked in this frame

Observed Wordmark DOKPA with a registered mark, and the words MADE IN NEPAL beneath it.
Observed A separate white tag printed with the letter M. It is the only size marking in the whole set.
Not legible What the emblem above the wordmark depicts. It is not described here.
Observed Two cord toggles at the hood opening, one at each side.

07 Carpet floor

Periwinkle over tan

A periwinkle blue padded jacket laid over a second, tan jacket on grey carpet. The blue garment has a tall stand collar, a full length front zip, and a hook and loop tab at each cuff; the two tabs meet near the middle of the frame. Angled pocket openings run down both sides. At the top right corner a round metal disc sits on the carpet with a dark pole rising out of it.

What was checked in this frame

Observed Two hook and loop cuff tabs, one on each sleeve, both fully in frame.
Observed Grey carpet floor. At the frame edge: a round metal disc with a pole, reading as the base of a stand.
Observed The tan jacket underneath shows quilted sleeves and a darker hood spread above the collar.
Not visible Label, size tag, any marking on either garment.

11 Carpet floor

Olive parka, snap front

An olive hooded parka laid flat, longer in the body than the other jackets here. A line of snap studs runs down the front placket beside the zip, two vertical welt pockets sit at chest height, and two flapped lower pockets each close with a single snap. Behind it stand a stained wall, a net curtain, a wooden framed stand with garments on it, and the metal disc with its pole.

What was checked in this frame

Observed Snap studs down the placket and at the collar; a zip beneath the placket.
Observed Vertical welt pockets at chest height, flapped pockets lower, one snap on each flap, and a zipped pocket on the right sleeve.
Observed Hood spread open with a pale lining and one cord toggle at each side.
Observed Sleeve ends show a pale lining turned back. The room behind is a wall, a curtain and a carpet floor.

12 Carpet floor

Off white, contrast panel

An off white hooded jacket on the carpet, with a large dark grey panel pocket on the chest and a single zip at that panel's upper corner. Two lower pockets are plain welt openings with no zip teeth and no pulls. Both cuffs are finished plain, with no tab of any kind. The hood is spread open and lined pale grey.

What was checked in this frame

Re-checked Both sleeve ends and both lower pockets, at high zoom. Cuffs are plain and rounded. Lower pockets are plain welts.
Corrected An earlier reading of this garment credited it with hook and loop cuffs and zipped lower pockets. This frame does not support either.
Observed One zip pull at the upper corner of the chest panel. The panel is a different, darker cloth from the body.
Not visible Label, size tag, fabric, any insulation.

13 Wooden table

The one patterned cloth

A flat tote bag on a dark wooden surface. The body is cut from a red cloth printed with a repeating white and gold motif. Across the top runs a woven band of vertical stripes in red, green, grey and white carrying small cross figures, bound above and below with blue tape. Two straps of the body cloth are stitched down onto the band.

What was checked in this frame

Observed The only patterned textile anywhere in the set, and the only object that is not a jacket.
Observed Blue binding tape along both edges of the woven band; straps cut from the body cloth.
Not identified A white machine body at the top left corner. Too little of it is in frame to say what it is.
Not visible Any fibre content, any label, any marking on the bag.

Unresolved

Two sources, two ward numbers

The supplied material gives the address as Purano Samyukta Buspark, Bhangal, Budanilkantha-9, Kathmandu, Nepal. An independent map listing for the same business gives ward 8. This archive prints the supplied address exactly as supplied and settles neither number. The ward needs confirmation from Dokpa Garment before anyone relies on it.

The same listing also shows an opening time. Nothing corroborates it, so no hour and no working day appears anywhere on this site. A wrong hour sends a real person to a closed door.

Corroborated The name Dokpa Garment, the municipality of Budhanilakantha in Kathmandu district, and the telephone number. Supplied material and an external listing agree on these three, and on nothing else.
